Brass durga:

Goddess Durga is the mother of the Universe. The Hindu Goddess Durga is the most splendid manifestation of Devi, virginal and sublime, containing within her the power of all the Hindu gods combined. She is the most invincible power of Nature.

Durga is shown with 8 arms each holding weapons with her right hand raised in the abhaya mudra granting her followers divine protection. She rides upon her vahana or vehicle the lion. She is considered by Hindus to be an aspect of Kali and the mother of Ganesha and Kartikeya. She is thus considered the fiercer, demon-fighting form of Shiva’s wife, Goddess Parvati or AdiShakti.
