Ganesha, the elephant head god is one of the most popularly worshipped deity all around the globe; his friendly and helpful nature takes everyone’s hearts. This superfine statue is carved in the best quality brass in utter smoothness, realistic structures and glows bright like sun. Ganesha sits here in lalitasana on a lavish pedestal carved in distinctive styled lotus petals. He blesses the devotees with his right anterior hand of abhaya and right holds his favorite sweetmeat, motichoor laddoo. He is worshipped first before starting with anything as it is believed that worshipping Ganesha can remove all the hindrances of life and hence pave the way to move ahead.
He is garbed in an antique styled dhoti which is slightly visible beneath his paunchy belly and is decorated with horizontal carvings at the knees; the stole that he wears comes down across his shoulders and is extensively chiseled in precise and minute embroidery with a floral border on both the edges and etched with horizontal lines in the middle. Have a look at the precious jewels decorating his neck with multiple necklaces, heavy bracelets and the long South Indian styled pointed crown carved in lavish multiple patterns leaving no empty space in between; the aureole at the back is delineated in Surya, with its rays spreading the light of knowledge, wisdom and happiness all around.
